Soccer Boys

I wanted to share a few personal images with you as I am a mom when I'm not a photographer!  Both of my boys are now playing soccer through the YMCA and they are really enjoying it!  Jack was able to score a goal in their second game.  Here are a few from their first games: 

Finally I wanted to share a few from this past weekend...I only was able to go to Leo's game, but I'm so proud he scored his first goal.  The picture doesn't do justice since I wasn't ready, but if you can see the smile on his face as he runs away from the goal...it's priceless!

Betsy & Patrick - April 24, 2010

This past Saturday I was able to witness and capture Betsy & Patrick's wedding.  They were married at Boystown's Dowd Chapel and held their reception at the Embassy Suites - La Vista.  I could not have been happier the weathermen were wrong on their forecast for Saturday which was rain, rain, rain....which we were fortunate enough to have none of!  It was a beautifully temperate and slightly overcast day.  Betsy and Patrick were such an easy-going couple and I loved working with them. 

Even the guys were enjoying themselves....though they had trouble jumping at the same time!  ;)

And I wanted to share the beautiful wedding cake designed by Upstream Catering!

Aubrey

This is miss Aubrey and I met her yesterday morning at the studio.  She took a little bit to warm up to me, and drank a full bottle in the middle, but she has the sweetest little face!  This was her first shoot with me so I'm sure she didn't know what to think, but we played and she got to dress up!  Here's a few I love from the shoot:

Sophie & Johnny

These two came into the studio yesterday for their portraits before their little sister arrives.  Mom was a smart one knowing it'll be less stressful to do this now and focus on the baby when she comes :)  These two were so silly and did a great job!   I had so much fun with them and we even snuck mom's belly in a few...

Nick...

Nick and his mommy and daddy(whose wedding I shot about three years ago) came into the studio this week from their home in Des Moines.  We had a fun little shoot in the studio and then headed out to the park nearby for some 'playing' shots.  Luckily the rain held off for us!  Nick is a busy little guy and made sure to tell us what he thought and where he wanted to go.  It is always so much fun to meet up with my wedding couples again after they start having children! 

Happy 9 months!!!

Yesterday I was able to photograph two 9 month olds who were not only bff's, but their mommies are friends of mine from high school.  It was a beautiful day at Elmwood yesterday and both little ones did great!

John was first.  He came out of the car with the biggest smiles and loved all the attention.

Miss Kate was next and she is a little more pensive and serious about things...a little model if you will.  She did not find my funny noises and crazy tricks quite as amusing as her friend John, but how adorable is she?....

The K Family

If you follow my blog a few of the subjects in the following shoot will look familiar.  We headed out to Regency this morning for a family photoshoot while their whole family was in town.  I love capturing these groups because you really get to see family dynamics as well as capture images that they will treasure for years (or at least until they can get everyone together to do again, which can prove to be difficult!)  Here's a few of my favorites from this morning.  I loved these two little peanuts in front, the little princesses, centers of attention!!!

My Handsome Nephews

Yesterday my boys and I headed down to Lincoln to play/photograph their cousins.  We had a fabulous time and they did such a great job taking time out of playing to pose for "Aunt Colleen"!  Aren't they handsome?

Old Friend, New Baby...

Today I headed out to take pictures of a friends 4th baby, Sofie!  It was so fun to catch up with them and to see their growing family.  The older 3 were all ready when I got there to show me their little sister...she was wide awake and ready for her photoshoot at only 8 days old!  Here's a few of my favorites:

I was asked to take pictures for Amy for her upcoming graduation.  She came into the studio yesterday due to the unfavorable weather out.  I had so much fun chatting with her and hearing about her family (I photographed her son about 5 years ago)  Here's a few from our shoot!  Isn't she beautiful?
