Yesterday I spent the day with a fabulous couple and a few of their closest friends and family. The wedding, the details, the wedding party, the couple.....it was all fabulous! First of all, it didn't rain on us!!! Yay! I got to shoot in one of my favorite churches to shoot at, St. Vincent de Paul, we got some outdoor shots and OPPD arboretum, then off to the bowling alley for some wedding party fun! The reception at Georgetown was gorgeous and there were so many details, all going with the theme of lime green, hot pink and orange! Congrats you two...thanks for a fun day! Don't forget to watch their slideshow!

Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday!

Yesterday, I was able to spend time with one of my brides parents....Emily called me and wanted to get her parents the gift of their own photoshoot. It was both milestone birthdays and an anniversary in the past year and she wanted to get them something special. I loved it! As I am blogging this I think one of the reasons why I liked it so much is that most photoshoots, aside from engagment and wedding, are focused on something else( a new little person, kiddos, family, etc). It was so wonderful to see that relationship I photograph in my new couples still there after 35 years of marriage. They were playful, silly and fun and I loved it! I wanted to share a few of my favorites!

Proofing/Ordering Update "Favorites"

I just wanted to put out a little note about ordering on my website. For those of you who've been a customer for a while, you may notice that the ordering site is a bit different and it is. I've gone with a new company and there are still a few details to work out so I appreciate you bearing with me.

"Favorites" On my old site, you could log in, save your favorites and come back to them later by logging in. When I first started using this new site, you could select "favorites" but if you closed your session, they were lost. I've been sending in feature requests for this and they listened! Now, as long as you're on the same computer...your favorites should show back up if you open the event again! Yay!

I just wanted to let you all know because that was a feature I LOVED before and am happy to be able to offer that again. (feel free to call/e-mail if this doesn't make sense)

Also, just because it's boring to post something without pictures....here's from my weekend off! I got to watch my son play T-ball and it was the cutest thing ever!

Yesterday I headed to Bancroft, NE to shoot a fantastic senior session. I was so excited to go to a new location and thanks to Mom and the girls, they scoped out some great spots for me to shoot, with her new pony, on this old bridge out of town, by this old rusty truck,etc. The lighting was very nice, minus the rain we had to dodge and the downright DOWNPOUR that ended our outside pictures. I wanted to share a few of my favorites...Erin looks beautiful doesn't she?

In Memory of Champ

This is a hard blog for me to post but I want to send out a request for prayers...this time for Champs family. They lost him this weekend and are now trying to cope with this HUGE loss and could really use your prayers. He was a wonderful husband, father and Papa. I had a post about him back in the fall of '07(if you have been reading this that long) asking for prayers and wanted to repost a few pictures of him and his family in his memory. His daughter is one of my closest friends and his grandaughter I'm sure you've seen all over my blog and website(even my studio if you've been in!). Champ will be missed and his loss will be hard on all who knew him. I just pray that he is in heaven now and can be a guardian angel to his family.

This weekend I traveled to Fullerton, Nebraska to shoot a family wedding. I had an adorable couple to work with, great lighting and a beautiful wedding party! They were all so fun and crazy, it made it hard to put my camera down! Here's a few favorites of mine from the day....look at the size of that wedding party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kobe- Take Two

Well, as I was down in LIncoln, I met with Kobe for "One year photos-take two" since he was sick last time. Needless to say, he felt much better and the shoot was a success! Here's a few of my favorites!

Miss Avery's a month old!

This little peanut is the newest little addition to one of my wedding couples from 2006! I'm so excited for them and their sweet little girl. She did so well for her first photo shoot! Her mommy and daddy love her so much and it was adorable to see them with her. I also got a new "baby bowl" from this great shop in Lincoln called 'Aunt Patty's Attic' which I absolutely LOVE! Also couldn't resist the 'sleeping on mom's shoulder' shot. The last shot is a 'remake' of one of their engagement shots.....such a cute family!
