Lindsey & Matt - hitched!

What fun I had with these two in Chicago!  Yep that's right, I got to head to Chicago to document this couple "in love"  This is their home but they are getting married in Omaha so we wanted to incorporate their new home in their engagement shoot.  I LOVED it!

Lindsay + Chad

These two are planning a winter wedding and wanted some fun summer engagement pictures so we headed downtown last weekend for our shoot.

I love these next two shots...Lindsay works for the Railroad and as we were starting to shoot we talked about how fun it would be if a locomotive came by...and a few seconds later, it did! I just LOVE her expression and excitement!

Emily + Justin

Our morning started out at Henry Doorly Zoo...it was a beautiful morning.  Emily and Justin are planning a fall wedding and wanted to do something fun for their engagement pictures.  The zoo was a great backdrop.  My favorite was the carousel!  After the zoo, we met at Elmwood for some cute shots with a balloon bouquet a la "UP".  Thanks for letting me play!

Brooke & Steve

What an adorable and fun couple!  I really enjoyed spending last Sunday afternoon with these two at Elmwood Park.  It was a BUSY day at the park, but we were able to navigate our way around the park even using some non-traditional backdrops ;)

Machaela & Brian

These two are planning a fall 2011 wedding and with their crazy schedules I'm so excited we were able to get these done when we did.  I had so much fun getting to know these two and what they are like together....it's one of the best things about an engagement session for me!

Carrie & Jesse {Save the Date}

Next month Carrie and Jesse will be saying "I DO" so I headed out to their farm in Bradshaw to shoot engagement pictures last weekend.  It was such a fun shoot and after warming up to 'pictures' the couple got silly wrapping chains around Jesse's wrist.  Thank you for inviting me out to your future home...

Nadia & James

This cute couple is planning a spring wedding in Omaha next year and we met this past week at Creighton where their love story began.  It was a beautiful fall morning on the campus and I really enjoyed getting to know them.  I'm so much more excited for their wedding day, it's going to be so much fun!  Here's a peek from our shoot...

Michelle & Ryan

I met Michelle back when my husband started working at UP about 7 years ago.  I was so excited when these two asked me to shoot their wedding this summer.  I was even more excited when they said they really wanted outside pictures in the snow.  Unfortunatley it wasn't snowing yesterday but they were up for just about anything!  This first storyboard definitley shows their personality...

Then we headed outside for some winter fun!

Betsy & Patrick

Betsy & Patrick are planning a spring wedding in Omaha and wanted to have their engagement session done in the snow.  We lucked out with the beautiful frost on the trees yesterday morning!  I has so much fun getting to know these two and seeing how they click.  It's always fun getting to know my couples during engagement shoots and knowing what makes them laugh (then I get to pull it out of the wedding day!)  Here's a sneak peek for them!

Heath & Catherine are engaged!

Heath and Catherine were such a fun engagement session to shoot!  They are getting married next May so we decided on Fall pictures.  I loved it when I talked to Catherine about where and she suggested the riverfront.  We met at the base of the Bob Kerry Bridge, which is the new walking bridge that links Nebraska to Iowa.  The fun connection is that Catherine is from Iowa and Heath is from Nebraska so I love the symbolism of the location!  It was a beautiful morning downtown and I had so much fun with the two of them.  Thanks for a great shoot!

And Finally, Busy September Monday

So this was my third day in a row of multiple shoots, so I am a  bit behind on blogging but here goes:

My first shoot of the day was of Alissa and Ben.  These two are getting married next summer and with Ben being in the military and living in California right now, his time home is limited so we got these in before his afternoon flight!  We met at Zorinsky Lake and though having to deal with a bit of wind, it was such a fun shoot!  I found some new areas to shoot...there's even one where if you use your imagination, it looks like we did "destination" engagement pictures! :)

My next shoot was Maclain!  He is already one and I had some furniture to put him on!  We met at a park and though he's never too sure of what to make of me and my crazy faces and noises, I got him to come around!  I will say, we tried to give him some birthday cake at the end of this shoot and he wasn't having it!

Monday afternoon Molly and Brent brought over their new little son, Sean for his first photo shoot.  He did amazingly well, slept when he needed to and woke up for a few.  He was such a good baby and let me pose him without too much trouble!

Monday night I got to photograph one of my dear friends newest little one, Sutton.  He's such a little peanut and though he thought he needed to eat the entire shoot, I am loving what we got!  His big sister Antonia is somewhat of a pro in front of the camera, so that part was easy...here's a peek:
