Kelleigh + Andy 3.21.09

What a PERFECT way to start out wedding season this year for me. Saturday we had beautiful weather and for Kelleigh and Andy it had to be the perfect day. I had so much fun with them and their wedding party the day just flew by. I took the wedding party to Lanoha to shoot some outdoor photos and they enjoyed a great reception at Indian Creek. Here's a peek for when they return from their honeymoon! See their slideshow!

Thanks for allowing me to be a part of all the fun!!!

Sam's a big brother!

I had another "big brother" shoot today with Sam and his new little playmate-Charlie. I was so proud of Sam for doing such a great job holding his little brother! (It must have been the big brother shoes :) ) Mr. Charlie had his own agenda today but thanks to mom and dad's patience and Sam's love for all things train we were able to get some great images of the new little one. I just love capturing babies!!!
Thanks again! Here's a little peek:

Brevin's big shoot!

I got to meet new little friends today! Koby brought in his new little brother, Brevin (with mommy and daddy's help) as well as grandma for his first photo shoot. He was only 6 days old and after getting a few shots with the two boys and sending big brother off to lunch with Grandma(great idea by the way) Brevin relax and fell right asleep and I was able to get so many of these fun "holding" pictures I love!!! I always have to thank the moms and dads who are so patient with me (and their child) and letting me get the shots I want! :)

This is one of my absolute favs!!!

Madeline & Nicholas

Madeline and Nicholas came into the studio yesterday morning all ready to go! Madeline got to wear her pretty new dress and showed me how she can dance and sing. Nicholas was all smiles in his little sweater and even in his diaper, but he definiltey let me know when he was done! I had fun playing and trying to remember my days as a preschool teacher for miss Madeline.

Thanks for helping me remember the words to "five little monkeys" Maddy!

3 months old!

Little Carmen is already 3 months old and I'm so excited to document her first year! It amazes me how time flies some days. This little sweetie did a wonderful job during her shoot and I think we got just what mommy wanted! I loved all her little "faces" and her bright blue eyes.

Ava-Mason-Simon

These three came in to the studio last week and I love when I'm able to get a similar shot for mom and dad of all their kiddos. Of course we mostly shot new baby Simon, but I had to grab a few of the older ones....they were too cute not to!!!

Marah

I just LOVE shooting newborns and here is the little sweetie of one of my dearest friends. She was only one week old and just a tiny little thing. I ran out and got a few new props/blankets and a LOVESAC (www.lovesac.com) before the shoot so I had something fresh to work with. I had a hard time ending the shoot I was having so much fun playing! Her big brother Tye was a trooper too as the session pushed right through dinnertime.....here's a peek:

Little miss Lucy

This little sweetie came into the studio on valentines day and we played and laughed and danced all morning! She is such a tough little one wanting to be tossed upside down by daddy and tackle piles of blankets. I love love love her sweet little curls too.....oh to have a girl! :)

Marcus, Joe & Alex

Here's 3 of my little nephews and I love when they come up to play in my studio and with my boys. I have so much fun with them and they make me giggle! I can't believe how big Marcus, the oldest is getting, during our shoot he asked "Aunt Colleen, what made you want to be a photographer?" Such deep questions for one little guy!!!! Here they are!

Vegas Baby!!!

So I am in Vegas at a photography convention called WPPI(wedding and portrait photographers international) and I am SO excited about what I am learning. I can't wait to get back home and get to work on some of the things I am learning as well as start implementing changes in my business and the way I shoot. I am so excited for my brides and grooms this year as they will be the first to experience these new concepts and ways of thinking and for my portrait customers as well. I will be changing my website, logo and business information and brochures over the next few months so be looking for the CHANGE! I'm so excited........

Jack

Here's my little 4-year-old! I got him outside for a tiny shoot yesterday and here's what I came up with. Somedays I can't believe I have a little man who's four...

Alivia

Miss Alivia was one month old the day of her photo shoot and was such a doll. I headed down to Lincoln where she was visiting at Grandma's house. I really love to capture generations and all three of these women were adorable! Thank you for letting me photograph another "event" in your lives (I photographed her mommy and daddy's wedding a few years ago)

Carmen

Little Carmen is the youngest of 4 and was so sweet during her photo shoot. She was just 11 days old and slept like a little angel. Her older siblings just adore her and were so sweet with her. I love watching little ones interact. And I also got to play around with my new little knitted sack and hat!

Claire

Here's a few shots of little Claire, she was at an adorable age for these shots as she could sit up but wasn't crawling yet! I abosolutley LOVE six month olds and I've forgotten how fun they can be to shoot!!!!
