These three came in to the studio last week and I love when I'm able to get a similar shot for mom and dad of all their kiddos. Of course we mostly shot new baby Simon, but I had to grab a few of the older ones....they were too cute not to!!!Monday, March 16, 2009

Marah
I just LOVE shooting newborns and here is the little sweetie of one of my dearest friends. She was only one week old and just a tiny little thing. I ran out and got a few new props/blankets and a LOVESAC (www.lovesac.com) before the shoot so I had something fresh to work with. I had a hard time ending the shoot I was having so much fun playing! Her big brother Tye was a trooper too as the session pushed right through dinnertime.....here's a peek:

Little miss Lucy
Marcus, Joe & Alex
Here's 3 of my little nephews and I love when they come up to play in my studio and with my boys. I have so much fun with them and they make me giggle! I can't believe how big Marcus, the oldest is getting, during our shoot he asked "Aunt Colleen, what made you want to be a photographer?" Such deep questions for one little guy!!!! Here they are!

Vegas Baby!!!
So I am in Vegas at a photography convention called WPPI(wedding and portrait photographers international) and I am SO excited about what I am learning. I can't wait to get back home and get to work on some of the things I am learning as well as start implementing changes in my business and the way I shoot. I am so excited for my brides and grooms this year as they will be the first to experience these new concepts and ways of thinking and for my portrait customers as well. I will be changing my website, logo and business information and brochures over the next few months so be looking for the CHANGE! I'm so excited........

Jack
Alivia
Miss Alivia was one month old the day of her photo shoot and was such a doll. I headed down to Lincoln where she was visiting at Grandma's house. I really love to capture generations and all three of these women were adorable! Thank you for letting me photograph another "event" in your lives (I photographed her mommy and daddy's wedding a few years ago)

Carmen
Little Carmen is the youngest of 4 and was so sweet during her photo shoot. She was just 11 days old and slept like a little angel. Her older siblings just adore her and were so sweet with her. I love watching little ones interact. And I also got to play around with my new little knitted sack and hat!

New Years Eve baby!
Little Elana Marie is the newest addition to one of my favorite families that I've been photographing since their wedding. Jodie and Tim gave birth to little Elana at about 10 in the morning on December 31st, what a fun birthday! I having them come in to the studio and taking her little pictures at only 8 days old! You would think newborns are super easy to photograph cause all they do is sleep, but this little gal wanted to eat for over 2 hours! Luckily we were able to snap shots in between "feedings" and her big brother Collin did awesome waiting around for his little sister to preform. What a fun morning. Thanks for letting me capture yet another milestone in your lives and congratulations on your new little blessing!

December!
As I am still trying to get my blog caught up, here are some pictures from December. As most of my family/holiday card shoots were done and deadlines had passed, most of what I was doing in December besides editing weddings, designing albums, creating each family with unique custom holiday card to send out to their family and friends; I shot my boys and my family as a gift for my mother. I also got to do one maternity session and I'll have newborn pictures to post shortly!!!
Katie & Selom
What a fun couple! With Selom being from South Africa and Katie growing up here in Omaha their guests witnessed such a wonderfully unique day. Unfortunately most of Seloms family was unable to come to Nebraska for the wedding but the couple was able to celebrate, and enjoy themselves. With a ceremony at St. Roberts and reception at Regency Lodge that was all decked out for Christmas you couldn't help but smile. I wish them a long and happy marriage!
